Black History moment: Debbie Allen

And now for your Black History moment:

Today, we honor the remarkable Debbie Allen.

A native Houstonian, Allen has been a true trailblazer in the world of entertainment and a symbol of Black excellence. From her unforgettable role as Lydia Grant in “Fame” to her groundbreaking work as an actress, director, choreographer and philanthropist, Allen has left an indelible mark on the industry. We salute Debbie Allen for her countless contributions and her historic achievements, including becoming the first Black woman to receive the prestigious Governor's Award at the 73rd Emmys.

We would like to thank Yunier Sanchez for this morning’s announcement.

And this concludes your Black HIstory Moment. You better wake up and pay attention!
