CULINARY ARTS STUDENTS SHINE IN 7TH ANNUAL CFISD CUPCAKE BATTLE

  Cypress Lakes High School sophomore  Jada Stelmach  and Cypress Ranch High School junior   Lyla Isra  won first place in their respective competition divisions at the seventh annual CFISD High School Cupcake Battle, held Jan. 19 at the Berry Center. Cypress Lakes High School sophomore Jada Stelmach placed first in the Culinary I division of the seventh annual CFISD Cupcake Battle on Jan. 19, making a lime and Tajín flavored cupcake. Cypress Ranch High School junior Lyla Isra placed first in the Advanced Culinary division of the seventh annual CFISD Cupcake Battle on Jan. 19.

FCA Meeting

  Good morning friends, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will be hosting a conversation about God and who He really is. The event will take place on Friday, January 26th, in the LGI at 6:50am. This gathering aims to help build and strengthen our faith, belief and relationship with God. Remember, you don't have to be an athlete to join; all are welcome! We look forward to seeing you there!

Congrats Varsity Girls Soccer

  Congrats to the varsity girls soccer team on their great start to District play after winning the Consolation Championship in the Katy Tournament! The girls dominated Cy Falls on Friday with goals from Olivia Montoya, Adriana Zevallos, and Daisy Ixchop! Katherine Jimenez got the shutout. Last night they took on powerhouse Cy Woods. The Spartans scored first with a perfectly executed set piece from Maria Maravilla and Adriana Zevallos and held on for a historic 1-1 tie. The Spartans are still undefeated in District play!

Choir Pop Show

  The Cy Lakes Choir will present their pop show, Decades, on Thursday, February 1, at 6:00 pm in the auditorium. Tickets are $5 if purchased on School Cash, and $10 at the door. Get your tickets now to hear great music from the 60's, 70's, 80's, and more! As always, teachers are our guests and do not need a ticket!

Prom Tickets

  Hey Seniors! Prom tickets will go on sale February 1-February 11 for $75, February 13-April 30 for $85, and May 2-May 8 for $95. Please go to schoolcashonline.com to purchase your tickets. Students who are bringing a guest to prom will be allowed to purchase 1 prom ticket. Once your guest form has been approved by the administration, you will be able to purchase a second ticket for your guest. Please contact Mrs. Burton with questions or concerns.

Mu Alpha Theta Peer Tutoring

  "Hello Spartans! This week, on Wednesday, Mu Alpha Theta is hosting math peer tutoring after school in the C-2 portable. We will have tutors there to answer any questions you may have!"

Rodeo Art Winners

  The Art Department is happy to announce the following students were District Finalists for the Houston Livestock and Rodeo Art Contest for their sculptures: Brooklyn Bosch, Lluvia Guzman, Carla Pineda Alvarez, Wafa Shahid, Katherine Palacio, and Yasmin Reid. Their work will be on display at the Visual and Performing Arts Center tonight from 6-8pm with all other district Rodeo Art winners. IN ADDITION, Yasmin Reid's sculpture 'Tree Line Snack Time' earned a Gold Medal and will be on display at NRG Park in the Hayloft Gallery throughout the Rodeo! Please congratulation these students when you see them!

Science National Honor Society Meeting

  The Science National Honor Society will be meeting on Wednesday morning at 6.45am in the LGI. Mirjeta, Maya and Grace will be presenting. Come and pick up your club T-shirt at the meeting!

Class of 2025 Bake Sale

  Good morning Spartans! Class of 2025 will be having a bake sale right after school. Help support 2025 and buy some goodies before heading out when the dismissal bell rings!

Congratulations Wrestling!

  Good morning Spartans! Our wrestling team traveled to Clear Falls High School for the Clash on the Coast Dual Tournament. Our boys wrestled tough but unfortunately came up a match short to wrestle for the Bronze medal. However, our girls put on a dominant performance and went undefeated with a 4-0 record, ultimately winning the tournament. Congratulations to all our Spartan wrestlers on their amazing efforts! We will be going to Bridgeland for our last dual of the season. Go Spartans!

Prom ticket Sales

  Seniors! Prom tickets will go on sale February 1-11 for $75, February 12-April 30 for $85, and May 1-May 8 for $95. Guest forms and tickets can be found on Schoolcashonline.com. The last day for guest approval will be Friday, May 3th 2024.

Philosophy club meeting

  The Cypress Lakes Philosophy club will be meeting this Tuesday, January 23 in Mrs. Whitney’s room 2113 to discuss our next topic. If you’re interested in joining, look for our schoology group or stop by room 2113 and scan the qr code to join our remind!
