EOC Prep

  Accelerated Instruction (AI) for EOC preparation will begin from September 30th after school. Algebra 1 & Biology on Mondays and English 1 & 2 and US History on Wednesdays. Students needing to attend will be given passes in their 2nd period class. Room numbers are also listed on these passes.

FBLA Member Info

  Good Morning Future Business Leaders! If you are planning to join F.B.L.A. for the 2024-2025 school year, be sure you have turned in your parent permission form and paid the membership dues in SchoolCash by this Friday September 27th. If you have any questions please contact Ms. Merritt in room A4 or Mrs. White in room 1562. If you have already joined the Future Business Leaders of America and you are planning to attend the Area 8 workshop on Saturday, October 5th….. be sure to check your Schoology messages TODAY and RSVP for the workshop. You must RSVP by this Friday September 27th to reserve your ticket to the Area 8 event. Don’t forget to stop by A4 or 1562 and pickup the field trip permission slip.

Congrats to Aaron LaGrone!

  Congratulations to Aaron LaGrone whose art work, "Coast Radiance", was selected to exhibit at the Texas Board Members and Administrators event this weekend in San Antonio. Only 8 pieces from CFISD were chosen to represent our district.

HOSA Permission Slips Due

  Greetings HOSA Members, District Parent Permission slips are due by friday September 27th. Drop completed forms into the box outside of room 2411. Remember failure to submit this form may result in removal from HOSA. So, don't delay turn in the form today!

NTHS Applications are Due!

  Attention Spartans, the National Technical Honor Society application are due Today Wednesday September 25th by 11:59 pm. Please make sure to fill in the application completely. No late or incomplete applications will be accepted! Don't miss out on the opportunity in joining an amazing student honor society!

PSAT Testing

  Attention Spartans! Please remember you should be bringing your chromebook everyday. If you are a sophomore, a junior who registered for the PSAT, or a senior who registered for the SAT, you must bring your charged chromebook next Wednesday, October 2nd.

Red Poet Society Meeting

  Calling all young poets! The Red Poet Society is looking for more members who have a passion for poetry! As a Red Poet, you will read and analyze various forms of poetry, write your own creative poems, participate in fun events, and have your voice be heard! What are you waiting for? RED Storm Tryouts

Science National Honor Society meeting

  The Science National Honor Society will meet TOMORROW MORNING at 6.45am in Ms Semones classroom, Room 1173. We will NOT be in the LGI. Remember to pay your dues in Schoolcash and return your signed permission slips!

HOLA Meeting

  HOLA Spartans! The Hispanic Organization for Leaders of America is gearing up to celebrate the Hispanic Heritage Month. If you are interested in helping out create Dia De Los Muertos ofrenda, please visit room 2114 this Wednesday, Sep. 25th! HOLA is always looking for new members that want to promote our Hispanic culture via the arts and dance.

Mu Alpha Theta (MAO) Peer Tutoring

Hispanic Heritage Month - Gabriel García Márquez

  Buenos días Spartans, for Hispanic Heritage Month today we are recognizing Gabriel García Márquez, a Colombian novelist and Nobel laureate, who gifted the world with magical realism through works like 'One Hundred Years of Solitude.' His storytelling, blending reality and fantasy, has left an indelible mark on literature. He not only captured the essence of Latin America but also addressed universal themes of love, power, and human nature. Gabriel García Márquez's words continue to transport us to enchanting worlds and inspire writers worldwide.

Hispanic Heritage Month

  Selena Quintanilla Buenos días Spartans: National Hispanic Heritage Month is the period from September 15 to October 15 when we recognize the contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans to the country's history, heritage, and culture. Today’s latina is: Selena Quintanilla. Referred to as the "Queen of Tejano Music", her contributions to music and fashion made her one of the most celebrated Mexican-American entertainers of the late 20th century.

Sterling Stars Dance Team Bake Sale

  Sterling Stars are having a bake sale after school. Come by and purchase some goodies before you head home today.

Girls Basketball Tryouts

  Girls Basketball tryout is coming soon. October 16th, 17th, and 18th at 6am - 7am in the middle gym. All students that are participating must email Coach Diggs at Austin.diggs@cfisd.net, and have a physical on file in the training office. Start preparing now as you will be evaluated on physical conditioning, Basketball skills, and school academics and behavior.

Guitar Club meeting

  Good morning Spartan shredders! The Guitar Club will be having a meeting this week on Thursday, September 26th in room B5. Permission slips will be given out at this meeting and you must have a permission slip on file to be a club member.
