FCA Meeting

  Hello. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be having a meeting today after school in room 1175. Please join us as we prepare for the upcoming trip to Bristol Park Assisted Living and Memory Care this month. We will be making Easter Cards and continue Fellowship together. Please join us for friends, fellowship, and fun. Remember, you do not have to be an athlete to join, all are welcome. Hope to see you then!

CyLakes Digital Poetry Contest

  April is National Poetry Month, so the Red Poet Society is hosting their first annual CyLakes Digital Poetry Contest! Students in all grade levels are welcome to submit a poem for a chance to secure a spot in the top 3 and win awesome prizes. The contest is open theme and form, so all school appropriate topics in any poetry form is allowed. Keep an eye out for our posters so you can scan the QR code and submit your original poem! Last day to submit is April 28th. See Ms. Catletti in room 2716 or Mrs. Vantreese in room 2916 if you have any questions.

Peer Tutoring

  “Hello Spartans! Mu Alpha Theta is offering math tutoring on Wednesdays after school in the C-2 portable. Everyone is welcome to join us and ask questions about the SAT, various math subjects, and more! Spartans, as the school year quickly approaches the end, make sure you get ahead and finish this year strong. As always, we are more than happy to help so be there or be square!”

Cap & Gown Pick-Up

  Seniors: Balfour will be here during lunches on Wednesday and Thursday to distribute your cap and gown on April 2nd and 3rd.

US History STAAR EOC

  The US History STAAR EOC exam is April 16th. Are you prepared? Attend US History EOC tutorials to ensure you are ready for the big day. Our next US History EOC tutorial will be on Wednesday, April 2nd after school in Room 2311 and in Room 2312 for a review in Spanish. The topic of the review will be the Cold War. Snacks will be provided for those who attend. Ask your US History teacher for more information.

National Poetry Month

  Hey Spartans! April is National Poetry Month, so the Red Poet Society is hosting their first annual CyLakes Digital Poetry Contest! Starting April 1st, scan the QR code found on the flyer to submit your original poem. All grade levels welcome. We're accepting any theme and poetry form, so don't hold back! You have until April 28th to submit an original poem. Enter for a chance to win! If you have any questions, please see Ms. Catletti in room 2716 or Mrs. Vantreese in room 2916.

Congratulations Girls Soccer Team

  Congratulations to the girls soccer team on their historic season, making playoffs for the first time in school history! In recognition of their performance, the Spartans received more All-District honors than ever before. Senior Jessica Valladares was awarded with Midfielder of the Year for the District. Olivia Montoya and Jenifer Reyes join her as First Team All-District. Goalkeeper Kat Jimenez, defender Dayana Parker, and midfielder Gabriela Valladares earned Second Team honors. Kaylee Sanchez, Valeria Arreguin, and Milagros Flores earned Honorable Mention. Coach Blades was recognized as Coach of the Year. Congratulations to all of our Spartan soccer players!

Class of 2027 @ Cane's

  Spartans come support Class of 2027 on Thursday April 3 at the Cane's on Highway 6 from 4-9 pm. Be sure to say "Cy Lakes Class of 2027" when ordering! Look forward to seeing you there!!!

Spirit Week Dress Up

  Hey Spartans!. We are dressing up next week. Monday is PJs or Onsies. Tuesday is Scrabble day. I prize will go to the squad with the longest word and a prize for the word with the highest point value. Must be school appropriate. Wednesday is Guys in Ties and Girls in pearls. Want to participate and don't have, we will have a limited supply of ties and pearls available before school and during lunches. Come to school dress to impress. Thursday is dress as someone you admire and Friday rounds the week off with neon. Glow up and Shine.
